Community Center boiler replaced with ARRA monies

The town received $574,000 from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to replace three, huge cast iron steam boilers at Elmwood Community Center with two energy efficient boilers and one hot water heater.  An engineering firm has been selected and work will begin Summer 2010. Asbestos abatement from the pipes, breaching and tank will occur in May. This improvement qualifies the town for a CL&P utility rebate.
